The Child Helpline
Child Helpline (Lasteabi) provides nationwide 24/7 free of charge phone and online counselling services to support and promote the well-being of children and families.
The purpose of the Child Helpline is to enable all persons to report a child in need, to ensure that the information received is passed on to the relevant specialists, and to provide primary social counselling and, if necessary, crisis counselling to children, parents and other persons related to children.
Counselling is provided in Estonian, Russian, and English.
Child Helpline can be contacted via online chat on the https://lasteabi.ee website, via phone 116111 or via email info@lasteabi.ee. If desired, the person contacting the Child Helpline can remain anonymous.
The service is provided in accordance with the Republic of Estonia Child Protection Act § 59, according to which every person is required to immediately notify the social services departments, police or some other body providing assistance if the person knows of a child who is in need of protection or assistance.
